The Curiosity Index: Week 7

Well done for making it to the weekend. Maybe, just maybe I’m starting to find a little blogging groove again, I hope I’m not speaking too soon. Anyway, here is a collection of interesting things to watch, listen, look and read.

You should read these

  1. Pakistani Pastors Ambushed by Gunmen While Driving from Church. A sobering reminder that in some places being a Christian can be a death sentence.
  2. Ready for a New Adventure? Make Sure it Has These Four Things. Some good insights from Sheridan Voysey.
  3. Why Are Women More Religious than Men? No one really knows but here are the most favoured theories.
  4. The five dimensions of personality. A nice primer on the OCEAN of personalities.
  5. Swahili’s bid to become a language for all of Africa. As our church has a Swahili-language service I found this interesting.
  6. 10 things I learned from eating vegan for a year. I always find Jeremy’s reasoned and thoughtful approaches so helpful. He is my view, the best sort of committed activist.
  7. The World’s ‘Happiest’ Countries Harbor a Dark Side, Wellbeing Study Reveals. Something rotten in the state of Denmark.

From the archives

Sent: By a family together on a mission: “It was then profoundly moving to have those same thousands pray with great passion, vigour and faith and to have people ahead of you in the journey come to you, lay on hands and pray for you as if they were coming with you. It was a remarkable privilege.”

Have a great weekend.
