If you’re the sort of person that thinks about the end of things then one of the questions that needs to be asked is end of what? End of the universe? End of the planet? The Book of Revelation? Or maybe our civilization is ending (podcast option)? In any scenario that includes the end of humanity or human civilization we cannot exclude a nuclear apocalypse. Just think about that for a moment. We designed, built and continue to build and maintain a means of ending humanity which really have almost no other application and often impoverish the nations that build them. It’s inherently stupid & ridiculous but here we are. And the likelihood is that more nations will eventually acquire them.

But hold on maybe it’s not as bad as the doomsayers make out or maybe that we are so numb to deaths of catastrophic proportions that we could fire a few nukes and then carry on as before! In which case it’s much more likely that the Finns will need their bunkers and that you will need this preparedness guide (or find a rubber fort!) than it is we will really get rid of the bombs especially as the norms around the use of nuclear weapons appears to be degrading.
