Everyone Else’s Favourite Books Of The Year Lists (2024 Edition)

I read a lot of blogs by a lot of people who read a lot of books. At this time of the year it is the custom for people to do a census of all the books they have they read over the past 12 months and then share that list with everyone else. For the last few years (2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2018), I’ve been collecting all those lists in one place – here (actually 3 places – here’s a X & Bluesky thread of it).

I find these lists helpful because it forms the often unrealistic basis for my next year of reading. I see a list and think ‘Ooh, interesting’ and I add it to my TBR (to be read list) which is so long that my only real hope is heaven having lots of book nooks like this. I’ll update it until just after New Year but you can check the social media for updates or back here.
