The Curiosity Index

Every week (almost) since 2015 I’ve created a list of the most interesting things I’ve read, watched and listened to.

Not a news digest. Not an algorithm. Just the things that genuinely caught my attention — across faith, culture, science, history, ideas, and the stunning photography.

It goes out on Friday or Saturday, usually seven links with a short intro.

What to expect

Each edition typically includes:

  • One or two pieces on faith, theology, or church life
  • Something on culture, society, or ideas
  • A science or nature piece
  • Something unexpected — history, sport, art, or whatever I stumbled across
  • A brief personal note from Stockholm

Who writes it?

I’m Phil Whittall — a pastor and church planter based in Stockholm, Sweden. I’ve been writing at The Simple Pastor since 2006. The Curiosity Index started in 2015 as a way of sharing what I was reading each week. It’s still going.
