It is an inevitability in the cities of today (and tomorrow) that Christians and Muslims will find themselves neighbours. Knowing what your neighbour believes and understanding both the similarities and differences is very important. With that in mind I just want to flag up some articles that I’ve found helpful. Most of them come from the same source, which is the excellent Bishop’s Encyclopedia of Religion, Society and Philosophy.
First though read The Redemption of Interfaith Dialogue which shows the possibility of holding to the claims of your faith while having respectful and genuine dialogue with those that believe differently.
One of the interesting aspects to conversation with Muslims is that we share the same characters but not the same stories so it’s particularly important that we get a good grasp on the Qur’an. Here are some starters for ten:
