The Curiosity Index: Week 15

Well. A few weeks where the inspiration dried up, the time ran away, the desire dissipated, the discipline vanished. And then like a Swedish spring I blossomed into life in a week. Sometimes you need to recuperate, just let the seasons roll you along and then pick it up when you can. So apologies for the break in service but enjoy these links, photos, music and video and have a great weekend.

You Should Read These

  1. A Little Book About a Little Word That Contains the World. Just a wonderful review by Brad East: “Christians are those who are baptized into Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection and who proclaim their trust in him alone, the Living One, who died on a cross but will never die again. Our hope is that, by the power of God, the fate of Jesus will be ours, too.”
  2. “Yes, and…” A prophetic principle from improv comedy. Helpful from Liam Thatcher.
  3. 50 Most Edifying Films of the 21st Century So Far. I’ve watched 13 of 50 with the highest being #2.
  4. The AI Equation by Vinoth Ramachandra
  5. UK emissions have fallen to Victorian levels. Good news!
  6. Why Do Domestic Prices Rise With Tarriffs? In case you need help getting your head around that one
  7. The Design of the New Swiss Passport. Very cool!

From The Archives

If I don’t find a way to guard my heart not just from the cheat but from the hardness that comes from dealing with the cheat then almost inevitably the arteries of compassion will clog in my heart and I’m not sure I want that to happen.

Hard hearts, deceivers & email spam

I hope you enjoy your weekend. Do let me know if there’s something here you appreciated or if you see something you think would be worth sharing, let me know!
