I enjoy a good film but for a variety of reasons I rarely seem to get out to the cinema so most of my film consumption is at home (Netflix plus the odd rental). As a result, as I’ve studied this list I’ve concluded I’ve played it safe and watched repeats far too many times. That’s a sign of mental laziness.
I started noting down the films I watched for a few reasons. It helps me see how much time I’ve given to this (in my case around 120 hours) and then I can ask myself whether I think that was time well spent or not. Depends a little on the films I guess.
It also helps me see what I’m putting into my brain. What sorts of films am I enjoying and could my enjoyment of life be improved by the odd nudge towards, say, more documentaries and fewer repeats? Why yes, yes it probably could.
I’ve split the films up into the various categories. My favourites are in bold. Feel free to argue or recommend. Whichever.
