Hello, welcome to the weekend. Some things from my week:
- I’m experimenting with Claude as some form of Digital Assistant and see if AI can’t help me become a little more productive.
- I spent a couple of hours servicing my bike yesterday – adjusting gears, adjusting brakes (took me ages to get that right) and just cleaning it up. For someone who spends too long sitting at his desk, some manual labour is always satisfying and oddly relaxing.
- I’m trying to watch more films because I like stories.
- This week as a pastor has involved hearing about a healing in response to prayer, talking to a friend about their pending divorce, talking with a pastor facing some big moments, talking with someone about handling in-laws, responding to someone in crisis, helping a person who is homeless, preparing a sermon and answering a seemingly endless stream of emails.

When we begin to understand our weakness and His greatness, our sinfulness and His holiness we begin to groan. I groan with the weight of my failings and my longings. I seem to be in my own way of taking hold of all the good things God has for me. Here I am, Lord, on my butt, tired & frustrated. Again. I’m groaning, help me God.
