The cold has come back and a little bit of snow with it. I’m once again realizing that a good night sleep is the keystone habit to everything else. I procrastinate less, do more, get on top of everything and make better decisions when I’m rested. Consistency is key plus making the decision to go to bed and read when my wife sleeps far earlier than I would. Otherwise I end up staying up late far later than I should.

For some reason this post didn’t go out last week despite having written it, but because I haven’t written anything else until today, I missed it! So instead of this post being week 4 it is now week 5. Ho hum.

It also explains why the more equal the society (like Sweden and the Nordic nations) the greater the differences in career choices. The richer you are, the freer you are, and the more empowered you are to make your own decisions the greater the likelihood that you’ll choose a course of action in line with who you are and what you’re good at. Girls are better than boys at reading, everywhere. In some places, they are also better than boys at maths and sciences. Girls are really smart! But because they are better and in places like Finland, relatively rich, free and empowered they choose according to their relative strengths.
