Resurrection reflections

Don’t rush on from talking or thinking about the resurrection just because it’s not Easter Sunday, after all Jesus continued to make appearances over the course of the following 40 days. The resurrection remains the absolute bedrock of Christian belief – in other words it repays and rewards sustained reflection and attention!

You may want to consider the resurrection from an aplogetics standpoint and consider the evidence. It’s worth noting the weight of the resurrection appearances. You can find a very helpful set of short videos discussing various arguments about the resurrection here.

It does matter whether you think it happened or not. Whether it happened is of course key, but if it did happened some thought to its theological significance is important too.

Or you could think more devotionally, maybe through connecting with resurrection in great art, or through poetry.

Or you could take a different angle and think through the implications of the resurrection in different areas of contemporary life, such as gender.

However you think about it, the fact that He is Risen is worth ongoing attention. After all, the world changed.
