Adrian Warnock continues to post on Calvinists and Arminians with his view of the spectrum of beliefs and the follow up. To be honest I can’t really see the difference between his soft and moderate Calvinists or that ‘soft Calvinists’ have a position worth holding.
As for his description of Arminians he’s likely to confuse people as Calvinists self describe themselves as ‘reformed’ and so to them a ‘reformed Arminian’ is a contradiction in terms. I’m not sure about the distinctions he makes between a ‘reformed’ and a ‘strong Arminian’ and I’m not sure it’s fair to call ‘open theism’ Arminianism. It really isn’t (Matt O’Reilly agrees)
In contrast to some of the assertions that Adrian makes, Roger Olsen argues that calvinism leads to universalism which would cause John Piper to have a fit I should think.
