Each year, as many organisations do, our family of churches has a Christmas Appeal. This year they are again teaming up with Edward Buria and churches in Kenya to help bring clean water to villages in the Northern Meru region.
As they explain,
“Earlier this year we took a trip to North Meru in Kenya with Edward Buria to learn more about the borehole project (the focus of this year’s appeal), that will bring fresh water to the area and will empower many lives.
Along the way, we met Lucy, a local to the area who was tending to her goats and land. She explained to us how she has to cycle several kilometres (taking a number of hours) each and every day simply to find and access water.
Amazingly, she also shared with us a dream, where she saw pipes coming out of the very ground they were standing on and fresh water flowing, meaning that her community would be easily able to access water for the first time.
God has clearly gone before us and has laid the foundations prophetically for this year’s appeal, showing again His heart for the poor and those living in need.”
