It’s hot in Stockholm and the lakes are warm. Perfect for evening swimming. Not so perfect for trying to build the running mileage as I tend to dissolve like a tablet in water during the height of the summer heat. And unless you run at 3am you can’t get up early to run because the sun got there first.

In other news, my mother is visiting us from the UK this week as we celebrate both my kids’ birthdays and the 1 year anniversary of my Dad’s death.

Nothing. Hopefully something this week.
From The Archives
If wanting to buy a gift from God receives such an strong condemnation, what of those who try to sell the gifts? Would that not be worse? The answer is surely yes. The one who seeks to buy the gift merely deceives himself. The one who sells can deceive many. Which is exactly what we see. At the very least Peter’s condemnation stands to the one who offer answers of prayer for money, healing for money, hope for money, Jesus for money.
The false teachers of prosperity (I refuse to append gospel to it because it is not good news) essentially seek to sell the benefits of the gospel in return for cash.
Have a great weekend.
