The return of the curiosity index (4th January)

New year, new attempt to get regular with this blog. I don’t make New Year’s resolutions except that I apparently do when it comes to this blog.

I’ve decided, like the hopeless optimist I am to return to my links page. I’ve meddled around with this for years – I read widely, I collect vast troves of information and some of my favourite things on other people’s blogs are their link lists – it’s just the way I’m wired. I haven’t decided whether this would be daily, weekly, monthly or random – it may well end up being all of those things. We’ll see.

My current favourite linkers include Dave Pell’s Next Draft, Tim Challies’ A la Carte, Mark Meynell’s Q-Treasure Maps, Marginal Revolution, Trevin Wax’s Trevins Seven, Luke Davydaitis’ weekly round-up, Slate Star Codex, WIRED awake and Alistair Roberts‘ has returned to this recently too. If you know of any other good ones, let me know in the comments.

The links I share on twitter and facebook are the things that get reshared or liked the most, so some of you like that – so why not use that here on this blog too?

I’ve messed around with names in the past too but I quite like ‘The Curiosity Index’ unless I can think of a better one. If anyone wants to help me out with some nifty graphics I can use – don’t hide your light.

Anyway here is what I’ve found interesting in the last 24 hours
