Today’s links are all linked by theme of giving (kudos to the observant who noticed the post title change).
- The billionaire’s giving club continues to grow with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and David Green.
- John van Dinther has a good reflection on the Christian values underpinning the Green’s business.
The giving pledge is a truly remarkable act of philanthropy and generosity (although most of those pledging will remain massively wealthy even after their giving). I just hope they all see it through. It will be interesting to see how these phenomenally successful people put their money to work for the betterment of humanity.
- But you don’t need to be a billionaire to be generous. The BBC highlights Toby Ord (points to me to linking to this last year!) and his Giving what we can movement. Pretty much all British Christians should already be doing this as a minimum anyway.
